Dr. Konstantinos Bougas holds a PhD in Biomaterials Science and is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Periodontology at the Institute of Odontology, University of Gothenburg, Sweden. He serves as Program Director of the undergraduate Dentistry programme and is a certified specialist in Periodontics. Furthermore, he contributes as a clinical instructor within the specialist training programme in Periodontology. Dr. Bougas has a particular academic interest in pedagogy in higher education and acts as principal investigator in clinical research focused on the treatment of peri-implantitis.
