Dr. Carlos Rocha Gomes Torres is a Full Professor of Operative Dentistry at the Institute of Science and Technology, São Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil, where he teaches in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He received his PhD in Operative Dentistry from UNESP and completed postdoctoral training at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He subsequently obtained his Habilitation in Operative Dentistry and was appointed Full Professor of Operative Dentistry, Occlusion, and Dental Sculpture. Dr. Torres has authored more than 250 peer-reviewed scientific publications and edited three books. His research focuses on resin composites, dental bleaching, resin infiltration, adhesive systems, and bioactive materials.
