Thorsten Bock is Director of Organic Materials Research at Ivoclar, responsible for polymer-based dental materials from direct restorative materials and cements to conventional and milled full dentures. His background includes a PhD on fuel cell membranes (University of Freiburg, 2006) and two decades of R&D and leadership roles in dental material development. He has led the development of products such as Monobond Plus, Monobond Etch & Prime, Ivoclean, Adhese Universal and was closely involved in numerous adhesive, composite, cement and denture material projects. His interests focus on robust, clinically relevant solutions, workflow-oriented innovation, and lean, collaborative problem solving.
