Dr. Ulvi Kahraman Gürsoy completed his undergraduate education at Gazi University in 1998 and his PhD training in 2004 at Cumhuriyet University, Turkiye. He is currently acting as Professor and Chair at the Department of Periodontology, Institute of Dentistry, Turku University, Finland. His research focuses on host-bacteria relationships, laboratory modeling of periodontal tissues, and periodontal biomarkers. Dr. Gursoy has over 140 academic publications in international journals. In addition to his duties at Turku University, Dr. Gursoy serves as the General Secretary of the Scandinavian Division (NOF) of IADR.
