Vanessa Blanc is Head of the Translational Science Department at the DENTAID Research Center. With a degree in Biology and a PhD in Molecular Microbiology, she joined DENTAID in 2008 and has since held various positions within the R&D area, including Manager of the Microbiology Unit.

During her time at DENTAID, the R&D department has established several lines of basic research in oral microbiology and pathogenic biofilms associated with periodontal diseases. She has also contributed to the advancement of scientific knowledge through the management and publication of studies on antibiotic resistance in oral microbiota, as well as through the development of in vitro and in vivo evaluation methods for antiseptic oral hygiene products.

She is a guest lecturer on the Master’s programme in Applied Microbiology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and on the Master’s programme in Periodontology at the International University of Catalonia.

She is the author of numerous scientific articles published in indexed international journals in the fields of periodontology and oral microbiology, and a speaker at national and international conferences.
